KP's Copycat Essay
The value of tracing images is that it helps artists create a hyper-accurate sketch of what they're looking at. In class, we used the pen tool on Adobe Illustrator to trace over images. It is okay to copy something when you are improving and/or changing something (For instance, an image). In the article, Levin said that he wants people to improve on their invention in the future. In class, we changed images using Photoshop. It can get you into trouble when you break copyright laws. For example, if you were copying part of a video, then you could only copy a maximum of 30 seconds of it before breaking a copyright law.
